In Arequipa, Peru, people love Friday afternoons. The stressful work week is wrapping up and people are finally able to take a load off and talk a little. The mission church in Arequipa, where our MTW team serves, also loves Friday afternoons. Each week, a faithful group goes out into the parks and talks with people sitting on park benches. The group gets to witness how God uses them to speak His Word into the lives of unbelievers.

By God’s grace, on one of the church’s first outings several months ago, they met a man who was open to conversation. His vocabulary was colorful and he even seemed hostile, but he showed up at church. In the few weeks he has been coming, he has already brought two new people who seem even more committed than himself. Not every week seems as profitable, but once in a while, God gives the group tangible fruit that gives them great hope.

Thank you for your role in growing the Church around the world. Your gifts enable missionaries as they equip churches to reach their communities through evangelism and discipleship.
