A missionary couple in Czech Republic befriended an elderly lady they met at the bus stop near their home. The woman, they’ve learned, is very lonely. The missionaries recently invited her to their home for a birthday party. She was amazed to be invited by people she barely knew. When she saw all the guests she said, “I don’t know how to act here. I’ve never been with so many people!” The couple and other party guests took good care of her and she had fun. She said that she had never met so many nice people in one place. Isn’t that a great way to be perceived by someone who doesn’t know Jesus?

At the party a trusted Czech friend had a long conversation with the woman. When the woman learned that the hosts knew most of the guests through church, she said, “Oh! Are they a sect?” The friend said, “No, no! They are believers in Jesus Christ and I am, too!” They talked a while and then the woman said, “Oh, well, I’m a believer, too—I just don’t know in what!”

Pray with us that this woman would find community in the body of Christ and understand what it means to be a believer in Jesus. Thank you for your generous gifts that help introduce people to Him all around the world.
