The Jordans are answering a call to enable gospel work in Japan with K-12 education through serving on the Nagoya Church Planting Team. Japan is the world’s second-largest unreached people group with only 0.5% being evangelical Christian.

Alex, having taught math and engineering since 2011, teaches at and is helping to establish Nagoya Christian School, which provides grace-based education to Christian families in the area. This is crucial, as the unavailability of educational care has caused many missionary families to leave the field, their gospel ministry stopped.

By providing this support the Jordans hope to give these missionaries a second decade on the field to use their familiarity with the culture, language, and area to further the gospel.

Heather May teaches art once a week at Nagoya Christian School, but her focus is on attending language school, serving women and children in the area, as well as caring for their four kids.

Pray that the Japanese people would be softened to the gospel, that the children at the school would grow in the love of God, and that those who love the Lord would be bold to share it and develop lasting, meaningful relationships with the Japanese.
