Despite its scenic beauty, the country struggles to compete on the global stage, often hindered by the lingering influence of communism in its politics. Many young professionals seek better opportunities abroad, drawn by higher incomes, leaving behind a nation where Catholicism predominates, yet genuine understanding of the gospel remains scarce.

MTW Slovakia partners with a Slovak denomination to support local pastors in revitalizing existing churches and planting new ones that boldly proclaim the gospel across Slovakia. In the town Spišská Nová Ves, MTW missionaries also engage in ministry to the Roma community, working to address their unique needs as a marginalized group and supporting the establishment of a new Roma church.
