One Day on Mission in Fiji (VIDEO)

By Tom Mills, Feb 20, 2024

On this day, MTW Australia and New Zealand missionaries, along with pastors and other ministry leaders are heading to Fiji for the first Island to Island Partnership Forum. This gathering of Reformed Christian leaders from all over the Pacific Islands has been in the works for four or five years and has finally come to fruition. Their purpose is to discuss how the gospel can revitalize the Pacific Islands. Another big part of the forum is fellowship and building relationships with one another in order to better partner together.

Ministry leaders from the South Pacific islands of Vanuatu, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and the Cook Islands, as well as Australia and New Zealand left encouraged and hopeful for what the Lord is going to do in and through them for growing the Church across the Islands.

Pray for the people of Sydney, Australia, a city which has been described as "post-post Christian pagan." Pray that God would open eyes to the truth of the gospel.

Pray for MTW's ministries in Sydney, including Harbour City Church, City Sanctum, and Student Outreach to the World, as well as the Pacific Islands Island to Island Partnership.

Pray for the abandoned and disabled children living at The Josephine House in Cusco, Peru. Pray that they will grow in the knowledge of Christ and be adopted into godly homes.

Pray for the musicians (and fishermen) in "The Band" of Nosy Be, Madagascar. They've put newly-translated Scripture to music, but are just beginning to grasp its meaning.

Pray for the ministry of the Etiennes in Gonaives, Haiti. Pray for the church, schools, children's homes, and for the raising up of national leaders.

Pray for national pastor Giotis Kantartzis and missionaries Philip and Kay Luther serving in Athens, Greece, as they work toward a vision of expansive church-planting in a region that is hungry for truth.

Pray for new churches being planted in Colombia. Every church MTW helps plant is a missionary church whose vision from the start is to plant other churches.

Pray for Freedom Ministries arm of MTW's work in Cambodia, providing a home for girls and young women rescued from trafficking. Pray that the girls who don't yet know Christ come to know Him.
