A young man heard about a Bible study through the soccer tournament the MTW Uganda team hosted in March. After one of the studies, he came up to the missionary leading the study and said, “I want to be born again!” The missionary and a national pastor prayed with him to receive Christ and have begun a basic discipleship study with him.

Discipleship is the antidote to the lack of spiritual depth found in churches across Africa. Without an understanding of the gospel of grace and work of the Holy Spirit in the heart, many African churches fall either into the prosperity gospel or legalism. Spirituality that transforms the inner life and character is often hard to find. The MTW Uganda team is working to deepen the church in Uganda through one-on-one discipleship and solid Reformed theology.

Please pray for this enthusiastic new believer and the many others like him to grow in their knowledge of Christ. Thank you for your generous support of the work of MTW. Your prayers and donations ensure that believers around the world are being discipled in truth.
