Quichua Bible Translation
Americas - South | Project # 91338
God’s Word in our heart language: Little is more important to Christians and the Church anywhere in the world. And so our team in Ecuador is working to get the entire Word of God to the people who speak Central Highland Quichua in their own language.
The New Testament was finished and published in this Quichua language in 2010 and was enthusiastically received. It had to be reprinted twice! And the Quichuas are begging for the entire Bible.
Old Testament translation began in January 2020. As of June 2021, the first drafts of four books of the Old Testament are finished ready for initial proofing. But we need additional funds to complete the task. It costs approximately $50 per page to translate and carefully check the manuscript. And when the translation is complete, we look forward to an initial printing of 10,000 copies.
Your donation will help the team in Ecuador get the entire word of God to the Central Highland Quichua-speaking people in their own language! This will be such a blessing to this group of about 1 million Quichuas.
