Missionaries are often isolated from the kind of support that Christians in North America have access to. That’s where Pastoral Associate Couples come in. These husband and wife teams, often pastors or church leaders, provide pastoral care, encouragement, and spiritual nurture to MTW missionaries—on the field and remotely.
Pastoral Associate Couples provide:

A five-year commitment between the pastoral couple, their church, and an MTW team or field.

Teaching and pastoral care during one annual field visit, often combined with participation in a team retreat.

Ongoing contact and support that continues between visits using phone, Zoom, or email.

A relationship of mutual respect is encouraged between missionaries and pastoral couples—all communication is confidential.

Pastoral couples commit to church or personal funding of travel costs for the annual field visit or attendance at the area retreat. MTW furnishes complimentary travel/evacuation insurance.
MTW provides periodic training. 2026 training events TBA.
