Jason & Liz Polk
Missionary | Ethiopia | Acct # 16180
Liz Polk joined the Member Care team in 2025 after returning to the U.S. from Ethiopia, where she, her husband, Jason, and their four children served for 12 years. Liz holds a master’s degree in social work and was a licensed counselor in the U.S. before moving overseas.
During her years in Ethiopia, Liz served in a variety of roles, including supporting Ethiopian social workers, helping launch and support a trauma-healing program, providing individual therapy, and teaching. These experiences deepened her passion for caring for those who serve cross-culturally. In her role with Member Care, Liz provides counseling, debriefing, training, and practical resources to missionaries serving in a wide range of contexts. Having experienced both the joys and challenges of life overseas, she understands the unique pressures that global workers and their families face. She has a heart to see global workers flourish in their personal health, relationships, ministries, and family life. She longs to come alongside those serving in challenging environments so they can remain healthy, resilient, and effective for the long term.
Liz and Jason continue to stay connected with the work God is doing in Ethiopia, where Jason led a church-planting team that helped establish a denomination and plant several churches.
