Darren and Allison Terpstra

Bangkok, Thailand, is a massive city filled with over 16 million people. Of that overwhelming number, most have never heard the name of Jesus, while others believe that Christianity is the same as Buddhism, Mormonism, or ancestry worship: Do enough good to outweigh the bad. Only about 0.3% of Thai are Bible-believing Christians. That’s three out of 1,000 people. So even though Thailand is a beautiful country, it is filled with spiritual darkness.

Darren and Allison long to bring the light of the gospel to the people in Thailand. They’ve walked through their own times of darkness, but always had the hope of Jesus carrying them. They long the Thai people to hear and embrace this hope too!

After meeting in college, Darren and Allison didn’t date for 11 years. They married in 2020 during the pandemic, had their first daughter, who is now in heaven, then their second daughter, Ember. They are excited to join the church-planting team in Bangkok, Thailand, where they will work alongside the local church and Thai national pastors. They look forward to sharing the hope of Jesus and to bring His light to the spiritual darkness in Bangkok.
