Mission to the World’s Compassion Fund offers immediate aid when our missionary fields experience crisis or disaster.

Because of past generosity, MTW was able to purchase food for 70 Haitian families after Hurricane Melissa destroyed their farm lands in October, 2025. When the hurricane’s destruction magnified the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Haiti, MTW missionaries were able to respond quickly. A contact in the south picked up purchased bags of rice and beans and gave them to families in the most affected area.

Earlier in 2025, the Compassion Fund enabled 11 churches throughout Haiti to provide food and share the gospel to nearly 500 families facing famine.

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,  I was naked and you clothed me…” Matthew 25:35-36a

*Funds received by MTW as part of a disaster response appeal are used for relief and recovery, construction, travel for response teams, and related needs as well as for longer-term rebuilding and church planting. Exceptionally, when there are unspent funds, they will be used in future disaster and compassion situations.
