The Payroll Specialist position is responsible for collecting and processing information such as employee hours, compensation changes, and taxable fringe benefits. In addition, the position is required to acquire a good working knowledge of the organizational policies and practices related to the position as well as the HR Payroll software. The Payroll Specialist must be able to complete a pay cycle process fully and independently and respond to issues and questions regarding payroll.
Requirements and Skills

Documented experience in payroll processing or as a payroll specialist

Comprehension of payroll practices and/or accounting fundamentals

Basic understanding of payroll regulations is a plus

Proficient in MS Office and working with payroll database systems

Trustworthy with high attention to detail and confidentiality

Excellent oral and written communication skills

College degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field is a plus
