Römer, Mikael & Zuzanna

Serving in Ukraine | Acct # p-0442

Mikael and Zuzanna met in grad school in Greenville, South Carolina, in 2016 and married the following year. Zuzanna is from Poland and Mikael is from Finland. Both came to the U.S. to study theology and bring the gospel back to places in Europe where it has not been heard. They are members of Downtown Presbyterian Church in Greenville.

Mikael sensed a strong call toward evangelism and church planting when he was 15 in Finland. He moved to the States in 2009 to study theology and become trained and equipped to return to Europe. Zuzanna came to the U.S as an au pair in 2015 and stayed because she sensed God’s calling to study biblical counseling. She completed two master’s degrees in biblical counseling and Christian ministries. She desires to help women to disciple and counsel women with Scripture. God has called them to serve with MTW in Lviv, Ukraine.

They will join MTW Team Lviv to help them in their church-planting efforts, to learn from them, and ultimately to plant biblical, Reformed, gospel-centered churches in Ukraine and beyond. They desire to help the local church through teaching, mentoring, and hospitality to reach the community with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ.

Join them as partners in God’s mission to bring the saving news of Jesus Christ to people in a post-Soviet, a-religious context, and to plant Reformed churches where people can grow in their love and knowledge of our Savior so that they also can be messengers of the gospel to others.
