Pushkarevska, Lauren
Serving in Ukraine | Acct # 17308
Lauren never imagined that traveling overseas was feasible for her life. During her undergraduate years at Georgia State, she resisted the idea of studying abroad until a friend shared her experiences on a recent study abroad trip to China. Through the providence of God, she was able to go on this same trip during one of her graduate semesters at Georgia State. While in China, the Lord began to reveal to her a growing desire and passion for missions.
Lauren has worked as an art teacher serving both elementary and middle school students for five years. During semester breaks, she eagerly searched for opportunities to serve the Lord globally. After participating in two prayer walk journeys with MTW, the opportunity to learn more about ministry and missionary service presented itself via a summer internship in L’viv, Ukraine.
On a long bus ride home after teaching university students at a week-long English camp, the Lord began to stir an intense desire in Lauren’s heart to serve the people of Ukraine. She will now gladly be serving the people of Odessa, Ukraine, through teaching at a school for missionary kids, ministering to university students, and mentoring Ukrainian women.
