Pixley, Debbie

Debbie’s career with Japanese automakers spanned 19 years, first as an engineer and then as a member of the management team. She lived and worked in Yokohama for four years, where she served as a member at Grace City Church Tokyo (#92803) and volunteered with Community Arts Tokyo (#92887). She moved to Nashville in 2017, but an ever-increasing call to move back to Japan for full-time career missions eventually won out.

Debbie serves as the director of operations on the Community Arts Tokyo team with Grace City Church Tokyo. She utilizes skills developed in the business world for administration, operations, event planning, relationship building, and communication. Debbie spends much of her time coming alongside Japanese working professionals and training in Faith & Work, a City to City initiative equipping professionals to integrate their faith in their work and throughout all aspects of life. She is an alumni of the Gotham Fellows program.

Debbie has a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Lawrence Technological University and master of engineering in technical Japanese from the University of Wisconsin.
