Patterson, Jim & Mary Alice

Jim and Mary Alice Patterson have served with Mission to the World and Wycliffe Bible Translators since 1975. Their overseas assignments have taken them to Colombia, South America, to the southern Philippines, to the South Pacific and most recently to the Wycliffe training and support facility known as JAARS (formerly Jungle Aviation and Radio Service). The work being done at JAARS has directly impacted more than 770 remote language groups. In each location where the Pattersons have been assigned they have supported linguists doing Bible translation work.

At JAARS, Jim works in the Facilities Maintenance Department repairing HVAC systems and appliances in the Center’s office buildings, apartments, and houses. Mary Alice’s assignment is in the International Media Department working as a receptionist.

Jim and Mary Alice have two married daughters and four grandchildren. Please pray that many would come to know the Lord through His Word as a result of Jim and Mary Alice’s work.
